The Capstone Crate was founded in 2020 by Howard Alumnae in the midst of a pandemic where the world was quarantined, and racial injustice increasingly reared its head. It was time to reach people where they were, help more Black-owned businesses thrive, and educate others about the treasure trove of Howard Alumni-run Black businesses. Our business model roots for everyone repping HU!

We all learned the Howard Hustle – now it’s time to support each other.

Howard was – and still is – the training ground for Black business leaders.

It’s coined “The Capstone for Negro Education.” We aim to reflect the same in the quality of the products we offer and the echelon of service so that you experience the absolute best that Bison business owners have to offer.

Oh, and we’re also doing this because we are committed to giving back to Howard. A portion of every Capstone Crate subscription is donated to our alma mater, because we support recycling Black dollars and making sure the Howard legacy is #HowardStrong.
